While reading bulletins on myspace recently I seen one bulletin from a promoter announcing a very unusual band called Anubis. I was curious so I visited there myspace page got hooked, the lyrics are haunting and their page is interesting with interesting characters in the band they have a original defining sound thats Anubis and Isis singing will send chills down your spine. ANUBIS are a female fronted four piece Metal band from the West Midlands that was formed in 2007.
Their songs combine their influences into an eclectic blend of Classic Rock, Nu Metal, Instrumental Rock, Celtic tinged Acoustic melancholia and a touch of Middle Eastern spice.
Their lyrics cover subjects as diverse as schoolyard drug taking, mental illness/abuse to fairground phobias and The Pharaoh flying on his Magic Carpet. As well as the usual relationship stuff. Not all of the lyrics are serious!
What is serious is the high standard of musicianship and stagecraft thanks to classic rock veterans; Guitarist Simon Lees (Ex Budgie) and Bassist Pete Williamson (Ex Space Rock Session Man) ; and the mesmerising Vocalist / Keyboardist Sarah Co’burn. Providing kick-ass punch to the powerful sound is one of the UK’s most creative rock Drummers, Kev Bartlett.
Anubis’ music can be heard all over the planet on countless radio stations. The My Space player on this site has logged well over 2 million plays thanks to the quality of the material on their debut album SIBUNA and their four-track EP AVATAR.
Anubis have just completed their 2nd full studio album entitled Waking the Dead. This album has raised the bar even higher and is receiving outstanding acclaim from fans and press alike. .

SARAH CO'BURN - ! ISIS ! (Singer / Songwriter) who's influences are very varied, ranges from Acid Jazz, Ambient Jazz, 80's Rock and Electronic Music, modern day Rock such RHCP and SOAD, also some classic rock such as Led Zepplin. Sarah also likes to listen to new good acoustic guitar song writers.
SIMON LEES - ! THE PHARAOH ! (former Budgie, Al Atkins, Ozzmosis, Tantrum Guitarist) who's influences are Jake E Lee, Steve Vai, Dream Theater, Joe Satriani, Dave Gilmour, George Lynch, Ozzy, Zakk Wylde, Marillion, IQ, Sky, Mike Oldfield, Scorpions, Ultravox, Queensryche, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Seal, John Sykes, Skin, Extreme, Iron Maiden, Metallica, and Budgie
PETE WILLIAMSON - ! THE JACKAL ! (former Noggin & Space Rock Session Bassist) who's influences are Hawkwind, Gong, Noggin, Tim Blake and other Space Rock / Ambient Bands, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Motorhead, BAP, Rammstein, Scorpions and not least of all Pink Floyd.
KEVIN BARTLETT - ! OSIRIS ! who's influences are Dream Theater, Rush, Mike Portnoy, Neil Peart, Steve Gadd, Billy Cobham, Prog Rock and Most Classic Rock.
